This is a busy time of year. I know it as well as all of you. I have a to-do list a mile long and I have definitely failed to accomplish a lot of the tasks I want to. When that happens, it’s easy to put off exercise and rely on unhealthy fast food meals. But that’s not a good idea. It’s so important to make time to be healthy. It will make you feel better and be more productive. Now who doesn’t want to be more productive?
I posted plenty here about how to eat healthier, so today I’m going to focus on how to get moving more. If you’re anything like me you don’t have the time or desire to trek to the gym. All the crowds, germs, and hassle just isn’t worth it. And exercising alone can be a drag. It’s sometimes hard for me to find the motivation to head to the elliptical even if I know I’m going to watch some awesome music videos.
I have a solution for you. Just Dance 2015. It is made for a variety of video game consoles, including Wii like I have. It is played in the comfort of your own home. You can play it alone or with your friends and family. And, oh, yeah, it’s a blast, combining exercise with all your favorite music hits.
I’m not the most coordinated person on the planet. I love music and I like to dance, but choreographer is not my career calling, so I was afraid my Just Dance career would be a failure. It wasn’t though. I could easily follow along to the dance moves on a variety of more than 40 of today’s and yesterday’s hits, including “Problem” by Ariana Grande featuring Iggy Azalea, “Happy” by Pharrell Williams, and “Walk This Way” by Run DMC and Aerosmith.
I love the positive feedback of “perfect!” and “yeah” when I hit a move just right. And I love even more that I worked up a sweat and got my heart rate going without even noticing. I didn’t want to stop playing the game. When’s the last time you didn’t want your workout to end? It was even more fun when Mom played along with me. Don’t believe her when she says she did better than me 🙂
Just Dance 2015 has also partnered with Stomp Out Bullying to bring awareness to National Bullying Month. It is so important to raise awareness about bullying. It’s a terrible problem that needs to be stopped. They are spreading the message that “it’s okay to dance to your own beat.” That is a message we can all use sometimes. And with the new songs and wacky choreography of Just Dance 2015 that won’t be a problem!
Whether you put Just Dance 2015 under the Christmas tree as a gift for the whole family or buy it on a whim to get some exercise and have fun, head over to Amazon to pick up a copy. You won’t be able to stop dancing!
