It is the holiday season and we’re decorating our presents with bows, so why not put hair in buns?
I don’t normally wear my hair up but I wanted to do something different and after using serum, dry shampoo, and hairspray my hair had enough texture to go up nicely into a bun.
At this busy holiday time, wearing my hair in a bun saved tons of time. Instead of putting in hot rollers or fighting with the flat iron, I spray, fluffed, and bunned.
Though this look appears to be anything but, not only the bun was simple and comfortable, but so was the dress and snood. It was perfect for our traditional pre-Thanksgiving shopping trip.
The decorations at the mall warmed my heart and the triple Americano from Starbucks warmed my body.
It was a delightful day and the perfect holiday outfit that brings the glamour of the season without being predictable.
What are you wearing for holiday festivities?
Dress: Kate Spade // Snood: J Mendel // Sunglasses: Tiffany // Bag: Fendi // Shoes: Saint Laurent

Hi Laura, I like your KS dress. I am curious, I noticed you never wear tights with dresses – don’t you ever get cold in the winter?
Laura says
Hi Serena! Thanks for your comment. I actually get very cold and don’t enjoy winter (#californiadreaming), however, I also don’t like wearing tights (I think it’s trauma from being forced to wear them as a kid 😉 ). So I valet or my very nice dad drops me at the door or I scurry from the car to the store, theater, etc. I’m very good at scurrying 🙂 Happy holidays!
