Having just recently moved, I realized I have some favorite outfits that I wore in my past home and my current home over the last few months that have been short on fashion posts. This gives me the opportunity to share that difference with you and also directly reflect on my past and present.
It’s a concept that gives me pause and forces me to step back and think about where I have been, how I’ve grown, where I am now, and where I want to be. That’s putting a lot of pressure on some photos, but as I sometimes struggle to believe all of this is real and actually happening, it puts things in perspective and shows me that, yeah, I’m a Floridian now.
The photos from Michigan are with the smaller Prada bag and rainbow shoes. They were taken only weeks before I left for Florida in a whirlwind of packing in the midst of months of planning out the most complicated, yet smooth transition I could muster.
It was a beautiful, sunny, November day, as you can see. Michigan sent us off with love and nice weather and for that I am grateful. I took pictures with some of my favorite trees, ones I will miss. Ones I hope don’t miss me, though, and instead flourish for many years to come.
It was also beautiful, sunny, and a bit chilly for these December pictures from Winter Park, Florida. It was a joy exploring downtown Winter Park, a place I anticipate spending much more time over the years.
There’s a reason this dress has made a lot of appearances on the blog and in my life recently – it’s so comfortable and easy to wear. I love it! When the pressure of life is on and there are a million things to get done at all moments of every day, it’s a no-brainer to choose this dress. I bet you have a dress or two in your closet that you love and lean on whenever you need to make a fast decision on what to wear.
It’s also easy to accessorize. While the rainbow shoes were a statement with it, I otherwise stuck with black to accompany it. Again, an easy decision.
I will have a few more split posts coming up for you, so I hope you enjoy them!

Welcome to Florida! Where are you living? Unfortunately, this has been the coldest winter since we’ve been coming down. But, don’t worry it will warm up soon, (I am in Winter Haven.)

Thank you so much, Diane! I am in Orlando and loving the area. It has been a bit chilly, but now the heat is on, and it’s all much warmer than Michigan 🙂 Hope we can meet for dinner one day!

It’s going to get down to zero (likely below) this weekend, so I’m craving Florida warmth! Fun pictures — thanks.

I am so glad I don’t have to deal with winter any more. I hope it gets warmer there soon.
