I love a good party or cocktail dress, preferably one with sequins, and I have recently fallen in love with the brand Helsi. It’s pretty new on the scene and these relatively affordable, made in the USA dresses, are fun and feminine. I love discovering a great new brand, and this is most definitely one.
These dresses are *almost* the same. The gold one is a bit longer and less fitted than the purple. Both feature lots of sequins, and both actually have straps but I prefer the dresses greatly without the straps as I think they are more flattering on me. I have noticed that as a trend for me lately, and I’m happy with having options on how to wear a dress. But I’ve allllllways loved a strapless dress.
The gold one has an overlay of tulle and black fabric applique flowers over the gold sequin base. I absolutely love this because it sets it apart from all the other sequin dresses I have or have seen, and it prevents the sequins and my hair from getting tangled. I paired it with a black and crystal bag and star sequined pumps. Honestly the pumps are hard to pair with things, but I do like them with this dress.
The plum dress has sequin flowers and I loved all the purple vibes when I added my bag and shoes. It’s a wonderful and flattering color that I want to wear all the time. Though the dresses are similar I think they end up reading really different, and I’m glad both are in my closet. Hopefully soon to be accompanied by more dresses from Helsi, obviously with more sequins 🙂
