The football playoffs are in full swing. I spent a fair amount of the weekend watching the games and cheering on my favorite teams. There were some awesome games that had me on the edge of my seat until the very end.
It’s not the playoffs without a party with some great food. When I entertain during the games, I don’t want to spend all day in the kitchen, but I still want my guests to have an awesome meal that will suit everyone’s tastes.
That’s why I turn to Ball Park Flame Grilled Patties and Tyson® Crispy Chicken Strips® to entertain my guests. They also love Tyson® Any’Tizers. I stock up on all three at Meijer when I’m throwing a game day party.
Ball Park Flame Grilled Patties are my favorite because they bring that grill flavor in the dead of winter when I’m not even looking at a grill. They are ready in about a minute and made with premium meat. You know I’ll take any reminder of summer and sunshine I can get.
In case my guests don’t like beef or just aren’t in the mood, I always make sure to have a chicken option in the Tyson® Crispy Chicken Strips®. I have enjoyed these since I was a kid and almost always have a bag in the freezer. I used to love dipping them in vinegar. Weird, I know.
They are super crispy with homestyle breading, made with all natural ingredients, and made with chicken that has no added hormones or steroids.
But as good as the Grilled Patties and Chicken Strips are, they need an amazing accompaniment. Enter my Fresh Mango Salsa. It is easy to make – no cooking required! Plus it is made with all fresh ingredients. The mangoes are so good this time of year, and while the tomatoes aren’t the best right now, they add that classic salsa flavor and texture. Onion adds a bit of crunch.
I seasoned the salsa with salt and pepper and vinegar to add acidity. I had to sneak the vinegar in there :). It is perfect on its own, with chips, and most certainly as a dip for the Chicken Strips and a topping for the Grilled Patties.
I left my salsa chunky because I like it that way, but feel free to chop it finer or even whip it up in a food processor if you like.
From now until 2/6 you can save $1.50 on any 2 Crispy Chicken Strips or Any’Tizers (excluding bone in-wings) and $1 on 1 pack of Ball Park Flame Grilled Patties by visiting mPerks.
