AD Spiced Sweet Potato Fries with Chicken Patties

  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large sweet potatoes, washed
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. Cut sweet potatoes into long, thin fries. It is best to cut the ends off the potato, cut the potato in half lengthwise, and work from there until you have fries that are about ¼ inch thick. It is okay to have some of different sizes.
  3. Place the potatoes in a single layer on a large cookie sheet. Sprinkle with chili powder, pepper, salt, and red pepper and use your hands to mix them around.
  4. Drizzle the oil over the potatoes, making sure all potatoes are coated as is the baking sheet. Add more oil as necessary, the excess will remain on the tray during cooking but ensures crispy fries.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes. Flip the fries. Bake for an additional approximately 15 minutes, until deep golden brown and crispy.
  6. For the dipping sauce, stir together the ketchup and Sriracha.
  7. Serve immediately or cool completely and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a 400 degree F oven for about 10 minutes, until crispy.
