I went through a phase where I didn’t eat popcorn.  I’m not entirely sure why.  I thought I didn’t like it or it just wasn’t on my radar.  Then recently it started sounding good, really good.  I knew I needed some popcorn in my life as soon as possible.  When I went to the grocery store on this popcorn search, I was surprised that there aren’t really that many choices out there.  Bags of potato and tortilla chips fill the shelves along with pretzels.  But popcorn, it’s kind of left out.

I spotted bags of Angie’s popcorn.  I knew I’d seen it before in some magazines and on TV, so I grabbed a couple bags and couldn’t wait to try it.  Let me tell you, this is some fantastic popcorn.  I fell in love after one bite of the perfectly popped, light and crunchy corn.  It also tasted like popcorn.  When you go to the movie theatre, it doesn’t really taste like popcorn – it tastes like butter.  But Angie’s popcorn allows you to taste the flavorings, yes, but also the corn itself, which has a delightful, mildly sweet flavor.

Angie’s popcorn is made with ingredients you know how to pronounce and without artificial flavors and sweeteners, high fructose corn syrup, preservatives, or trans fats.  They are also gluten free and have tons of whole grain.  Who knew whole grains could taste so yummy?!?  Plus, they are also non-GMO!  This is truly a snack you can feel good about eating. 

Servings of Angie’s popcorn are generous.  Portions range from 1 ¾ cups to 3 cups with caloric values ranging from 140-160.  So you can have a plate heaped with popcorn or like 12 potato chips.  Easy choice, I say.  Plus, Angie’s also makes Boom Chicka Pop, which depending on the variety is either 35 or 37 calories per cup.  That is a serious dieter’s dream.

Angie’s was nice enough to send me a sampler pack to check out all their flavors.  I really enjoyed them all, but the Sweet and Salty Kettle Corn is hands down my favorite.  I could seriously eat the entire bag.  It has this glaze coating on it that is perfect, wonderful, crazy good.  There is always a bag of Kettle Corn in my pantry.  The Sweet and Spicy is another favorite.  It has a great flavor with heat that slowly builds and tastes very reminiscent of a bowl of chili.  I always really like the Caramel Corn too, but the bag I received seemed a little burnt.  I’m sure this was just a fluke, but it was not my favorite.  And the Movie Pop.  Let’s just say the next time I’m headed to the movies, I’m sneaking this in.  It’s tastier and better for me.

  5. Popcorn is one of my most favorite snacks. Your Dad could probably tell you how many times I have loudly crunched my bag of White Cheddar Popcorn at my desk (and then found fallen kernals all around my chair). LOL! I love just about every flavor there is but can’t ever pass up White Cheddar. Hmmm…may need to go get some at lunch…. 🙂

  10. The best I ever had was some Kettle corn made by the Boy Scouts in a big kettle, at the park in Rochester. I have never found any the same. At home I usually put some butter and salt on it.

  32. I make kettle corn with sugar and salt, and I’d say that’s my favorite! A supermarket near me recently started carrying Boom Chicka Pop, my girls loooove the sea salt and lightly sweet flavors. But I must admit if they stocked the salted caramel flavor, I’d probably wipe out the shelf 🙂

  93. My husband makes popcorn for me every Sunday night. I wish he’d put more butter and salt on it! I also love to make Caramel Corn and I wish I knew how to make Kettle Corn (I have a sweet tooth). Thanks for the giveaway.

  98. I just love popcorn! It is now my substitute since I don’t eat potato chips anymore which are my favorite snack but which I know I shouldn’t eat. So I would love to win this giveway…..I like the white cheddar popcorn but will eat any of them. The white cheddar has less carbs which I look for when buying.

  115. I am a fan of sweet popcorn, particularly caramel corn. A mix is always good too, Garretts popcorn was the best that I have had. But, looks like Angies Salted Caramel will taste great also!

  124. What do I like on my popcorn?? Melted butter with a little salt and sometimes for an indulgence, while it is still warm, I grate some dark chocollate on it.

  162. Winning this has been so awesome! I’ve never won anything before and to win popcorn is so exciting. Let me tell you…I can not stop! Every flavor is good. Now…where can i buy more?? I need more white cheddar and my husband needs more kettle corn!! 🙂

    • That kettle corn is addictive! I love the boom chicka pop too. I’m glad you are enjoying your prize, Jackie 🙂 A lot of grocery stores sell it and I bet Target has it. You can also buy it online or check out the store locator on their website.
