Animated movies are one of my weaknesses. I love the beauty of not only the animation itself but also the emotional stories that fill the flicks. I have many favorites and most of them are from Pixar. When the Henry Ford Museum announced the Science Behind Pixar exhibit I knew I had to check it out.
We went around Christmas which is why there are Christmas trees in some of the pictures, but really, Christmas has no season. The joy and decorations that accompany it are always welcome in my world.
I love the museum including the cars, and the trains, but the exhibit really impressed. We’ve seen several exhibits at the Henry Ford and they were fine but nothing spectacular. This was spectacular and I encourage you to check it out if you live in the area or the exhibit comes to a town near you.
The many interactive elements were fantastic for kids and adults alike. The videos from Pixar employees offered real, interesting insight into the process and weren’t too long. All the different movies were featured and allowed me as a fan to see them in a new light and begin to have a deeper understanding of what really goes into making one of these movies.
Because it was Christmas and my friend Jennifer at Publicist in Pearls had just worn this blouse (we have similar taste and actually discovered we have several of the same pieces), I was inspired to pair it with my ruffled red skirt. The polka dotted shoes added to the fun look that I am excited to wear again since it totally goes beyond Christmas.

Very cool exhibit! I have seen a few animated movies and I am a fan….Despicable Me, Monsters Inc. Mostly older ones. Looks like a great time. Love the outfit!!! You, Mom and Dad look terrific!
Thanks, Debbie! Despicable Me and Monsters Inc are two of my faves as well!
