Sometimes I don’t have time or the proper backdrop to take a lot of photos showcasing my outfit, but I almost always try to get a couple. Today I am showing you some recent outfits that all featured shades of brown and beige.
I don’t wear a lot of brown (or black for that matter – I love bright colors anymore), though there are some favorite pieces in my closet that I lean on now and then. Both the leopard print dress and the brown strapless dress are oooooollllllldddddd. So are the sparkly bronze shoes and the LV Alma bag. In fact the Alma bag was not only my very first designer bag, it was one of the first designer pieces I bought, almost twenty years ago.
Would you believe me if I said I paid a little more than a quarter of what the Alma bag goes for these days??? I can’t link a new one, but here is a previously loved one that is a little more reasonable and can be a jumping off point if you want an Alma.
This is the benefit of investing in well made pieces that you absolutely positively love and keep thinking about after seeing them but before buying them. You have them for a lifetime. You can pass them on to family or friends, wear them over and over and over and smile thinking about all the good times you’ve had in them.
The cream Gucci skirt is new and actually looks better on Mom than me, but it is a worthwhile sale investment that is classic and oh-so-gorgeous.
Here and here are a couple bronze shoe options. A sparkly shoe dresses up anything from a black dress to jeans.
Below are some anything but basic brown dresses, many of which are on sale. Happy shopping!
Leopard dress: Blumarine // Strapless dress: David Meister // Shoes: Pedro Garcia // Belt: Gucci
