While I do enjoy decorating our house, there is something magical about seeing how the professionals do it. Walking into a place and being transported into a Christmas wonderland with twinkling lights, trees, wreaths, and more.
Though I have been to the Detroit Athletic Club before, I have never been at Christmas. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to check it out this year and the beauty of the gold decorations took my breath away.
From the entryway to the dining room, the stairs to the sitting area, no place was missed, no detail skipped. It totally put me in the holiday spirit.
What their decorations and my outfit show is that Christmas doesn’t have to be all about red and green. The tones of gold in the decorations bring out a sophisticated side of the holiday.
I also think my outfit feels holiday without being explicitly themed for this time of year. The sweater and flowy skirt (that works just as well in summer) along with some glimmering accents bring the warmth of the holidays without red or green in sight.
What’s your favorite holiday color?
Sweater: Ralph Lauren // Skirt: Milly // Shoes: Christian Louboutin // Bag: Dior // Wrap Gucci
Well in trying to add a bit of color to my wardrobe, I did wear a red and white sweater to a luncheon with my high school friends that we do every year in December. It seemed more like the holidays in the bright red and I did my nails and feet in a sparkly red so I was set!
Your sweater sounds very nice, as does your nail polish. I always love some sparkle!
