Big Skirts Big Energy #FashionFriday

I don’t feel like it’s a big secret that I love outfits with a lot of personality.  Sure I have a pair of black pumps in my closet along with a couple black dresses.  I have plenty of good wardrobe staples, but that’s very rarely what I buy anymore because I love special pieces.  Pieces that make me swoon and take my breath away and make me dream about wearing them the moment I see them.

Pieces like the skirts in both of these outfits.  They are both new additions; in fact these photos are the first time either of them were worn.  They have some serious attitude to them and aren’t for every occasion to be sure, but they are breathtaking and pieces that will never cease to make me smile.

Let’s start with the blue skirt which falls somewhere between Cinderella and Ariel vibes, though I leaned Ariel by pairing is with ocean ombre pumps and bag charm plus the ruffled blue top I wear with pretty much every single skirt in my closet.  The fact that we were headed to Disney’s Yacht Club probably added to my sea theme for the evening.

By the way, the Yacht and Beach Clubs are a lot of fun and definitely worth checking out if you are in the Orlando area.  It’s so cool to see the different themes of the two connected resorts.

The white skirt was my Memorial Day fireworks outfit.  This is one of those moments where I tell you if you are ever in Orlando and the Ritz Carlton is setting off fireworks, you must go see them.  They are out of this world, and though the photos are amazing, they do not do the show the tiniest bit of justice.

Back to the outfit, the skirt has moons and stars on it, similar to my blue dress from the same designer.  It’s such a striking and powerful statement skirt, so I stuck with a simpler top to let the skirt shine.  But I did put on my star shoes to coordinate because stars.
