As someone who is not in a romantic relationship, I typically leave Valentine’s dinner to the couples of the world. Go out, enjoy, have fun. But a friend of mine was in town and could only meet on Valentine’s Day. Needless to say, I was totally game, and it turns out, even though I’m don’t have a better half, I’ve been missing out on a fun night of great food and tons of fashion, even mother nature got all dressed up for the occasion.
We went to Capa at the Four Seasons and indulged on Wagyu beef and Tiger prawns. While the food and spicy margaritas are exceptional (seriously the perfect meal), it’s the view that will always take my breath away at Capa. If you are ever in Orlando, if it’s a nice night, grab a cocktail and watch the sunset. If you stick around, you’ll also catch Disney fireworks.
For the occasion, I opted not to wear red or pink, but I felt very festive in a sequin dress with a feather pattern. I love a good sequined piece, and this one is so fun with the bird inspired motif. I paired it with more shiny things in a crystal bag and shoes, and went for deeper toned makeup to bring out the purple notes in the dress.
You might think the dress looks slightly familiar. That’s because I have the exact same dress in a different color and pattern. I could never choose a favorite – they are both gorgeous. But that is one of my favorite tips: if you fall in love with a dress and it’s available in different colors, go for it. Color and pattern differences make dresses look totally unique, and because it’s tough to find the perfect fit, to stick with something you know works is always a win!
To celebrating all the holidays for any reason at all <3
