Black isn’t a color I wear frequently, particularly in the summer, but there is something about this top with its black and white check, halter neck, and cropped style that screams summer.
In fact, I love patterns in general in summer. They go with the fun, carefree vibes of the season. Though I don’t have many floral prints, they are some of my favorites because personally, I don’t think we can ever have enough flowers in life.
Because I did want to add a pop of color to this outfit, I added a red-orange bag that paired well with my lipstick that is much more orange than the photos show.
In fact, let’s talk about the lipstick a minute. I am not a fan of glosses because they are sticky (and it’s always windy out it seems) and they run on me (how do I already have wrinkles???). But I love the gleam of gloss.
Enter Dior Addict Lacquer Plump. It shimmery and shiny and even has that wet gloss look but it stays put. Basically it’s magic, except I don’t know that it really plumps, but still, it’s awesome. And no, this isn’t a sponsored post, but if Dior is reading, hit me up!!!
I am excited to keep showing you all my summer looks!

Great looking summer outfit. I am a black and white person. The other day I counted six black and white dresses in my closet and that’s not counting the two that are completely black. It always looks classic and yours is both classic and chic. Keep them coming…

That is a lot of black and white dresses, but I can see why since that’s such a classic combo. Thanks, Debbie!
