I didn’t really do this on purpose. Wearing a dress and shoes that melted into the gorgeous surroundings. But I’m certainly not mad about it.
These photos were taken at the Kraft Azalea Gardens in Winter Park … after the azaleas had already bloomed for the season. I’m still learning when flowers bloom here along with which ones grow here. While the park would clearly be beyond gorgeous with the azaleas in bloom, I cannot complain for a second about the majesty of this place with the towering trees, nearby lake, wildlife, including some seriously noisy birds, and incredible walkability.
It’s a park that isn’t overwhelming. I strolled it all in about thirty minutes, and enjoyed each and every one of them.
And yeah, I wore a sequined dress to a park. I did go into downtown Winter Park after for a glass of wine, but also I really wanted to wear this dress. I most definitely do not save clothes or shoes or bags for a special occasion. Any day can be a special occasion, and I made this day one with sequins.
This dress is also quite comfortable. As are the shoes I wore. Wedges to more easily traverse the gravel. The only pop of color in my look came from the trim on my bag. I loved the monochromatic look. Like my surroundings, it was incredibly peaceful without being boring.
Turns out I don’t mind blending in or standing out.
