I have absolutely loved going to Barnes and Noble stores in Plaza Venezia, near the Florida Mall, and in The Villages to sign my books. I mean, how cool, right? It’s such a surreal experience to be in a store signing books that I wrote and having them displayed with a sticker that I’ve in the past seen on books written by some big names.
The people in the stores are beyond nice. I can’t thank them enough for their support throughout the process of ordering and receiving my books in their stores and then allowing me to come sign them. I have also sent bookplates to some amazing B&N stores in Michigan since I can no longer be there in person.
If you haven’t gotten your copy of Cause of Death yet, it’s available at some B&N stores in Michigan and Florida, as well as B&N online, and of course Amazon.
I’ll share more about my outfit and adventure in The Villages next Fashion Friday. Today I’m focusing on the books, but I did want to show you the shades of blue outfit I wore to the Florida Mall B&N. It was casual and easy to put on, plus I loved all the blue vibes.
Then there was the black and white set I wore to Plaza Venezia. After I headed to Winter Park to get some gelato and take in the as always breathtaking flowers. I just love love love their flowers. LOVE! The roses are crazy and the wisteria – I don’t think I have ever seen anything quite that beautiful. I paired it with grey for another tonal look.
You’ll see some options below that are sometimes similar and sometimes exact matches. My Burberry bag is from the amazing outlet mall here in Orlando, so I tried to find what I could to match. Dior bags are insanely expensive, so here is a used option if you are into that.
As always, if you have questions, ask away. And fashion should be fun. These are pieces to serve as inspiration. Most don’t have exact matches because I have loved and worn them a decade or so.
Ask any questions you might have about the book as well. I love talking about it. I’m definitely going to keep exploring Florida through the lens of B&N stores, and I should have a couple event announcements coming up.
It’s strange and kind of wonderful to get the smallest of small tastes of a celebrity dressing for stops on a press tour. Now if only I had designers who wanted to lend me a bunch of fun clothes …

How very exciting!!! To be signing your own book is an amazing accomplishment! And you were decked out beautifully for all the stops along the way. Hollywood should be calling for this book to be a screenplay. It would play out sooooo well….
