Bumble Bees and Birds #FashionFriday

It’s hard to wear black and yellow without thinking about bumble bees.  Or their less friendly and useful counterparts … wasps, hornets, you get the idea.  It’s also hard to be out in late summer without being attacked by stinging insects and therefore thinking about them way too much.

But it’s worth it for the blue skies, still blooming flowers, and cute birds hanging out, singing, and hoping for a crumb or two from one of the outdoor dining areas.

I’ve had this dress for what feels like forever and is actually more than a decade.  It’s super easy to wear and comfortable.  I needed to mix it up, so I popped on these equally easy to wear and comfortable shoes.  I haven’t worn them a ton, but I absolutely LOVE them.

If you like heels but have trouble wearing them, sleek platforms are definitely a great way to go, and if they are cork that’s even better.  I could walk in these for hours.

A simple outfit like this only needs a couple simple accessories and a smile while enjoying a delightfully low key day out.
