I really feel like I was able to catch and latch onto the holiday spirit this year. I did so many fun and festive things, and I am incredibly sad to see the season come to an end. You might think living in Florida where there isn’t a white Christmas (though it was a VERY cold one for the sunshine state) it isn’t festive, but I have found it to be the opposite.
There are so many fun activities and beautiful decorations that I dare anyone to say it doesn’t feel like Christmas once they’ve been able to spend some of the season here.
One of my favorite things to do both last year and this year was building a gingerbread house at the Ritz Carlton here in Orlando. If you are in the area, I cannot recommend this enough. It is incredibly fun and they make sure everyone’s house looks awesome. My skills definitely improved this year!
Because it was so cold outside, I broke out one of my favorite red sweaters with lots of sparkle, and paired it with a fun and feathered black skirt, sparkly shoes, and my warmest wrap. Someone called it a blanket, and I’m not gonna lie, it kind of is, and that’s kind of why I love it.
The other photos are from a much warmer day that involved my first trip to the Wilderness Lodge, which is so cool, especially with that giant tree! I love it there and can’t wait to return. I also stopped at the Waldorf to see some of their decorations. Though the weather might have been different, I was still feeling the Christmas vibes and brought out tons of red and sparkle.
Did you wear red this holiday season?

I did not wear red this season but I may today on New Year’s Eve! I have a pretty sparkly red sweater. Thanks for the reminder. I don’t really have a lot of red in my wardrobe. Your’s is just lovely and love of course the beautiful pink wrap! Nice that it was cool enough to wear it this holiday season. Love the gingerbread house. I remember you did it last year!

Beautiful photographs your clothes and the tree are delightful. Plus your gingerbread house looks too nice to eat.

Thank you, Merryn! The gingerbread houses aren’t exactly tasty so it just gets to look pretty 🙂
