I love to get all dressed up. If you follow along around here or Instagram or know me personally, you probably already know this. Give me all the heels and sequins, glitter and dresses. I love to showcase my personality with my clothes. But sometimes I don’t feel like wearing a big poufy dress and sometimes occasions really don’t call for it even if I do. (I often wish I had more occasions to wear a gown #sorrynotsorry).
So I have a handful of easy to wear, casual dresses and separates that I can wear when I want to look nice but not over the top. Like this denim dress. It’s denim so that makes it casual right off the bat, and it’s pretty comfortable since it’s distressed and already broken in. Because I don’t get to wear heavier, long sleeve pieces too often here in Florida, I wanted to wear this dress not only because it’s more casual but also because it isn’t in heavy rotation.
The silhouette of this dress in addition to the puffy sleeves and belt do elevate it. It might not be appropriate for every holiday festivity, but in general, it’s pretty versatile. I’m kind of thinking I would love to add a few more denim dresses to my closet. I added green shoes for a pop of holiday inspired color, along with green eyes shadow and red lipstick. I’ll take any chance to give a nod to the holiday season, especially when visiting the Mall at Millenia with their fabulous Christmas decorations and that breathtaking tree. Throw in a holiday cup from Starbucks and it’s hard not to be in the holiday spirit.
I’m ready for all kinds of holiday looks and definitely hoping to break out more of my cool weather clothes.

I am so envious that you are capable of wearing nothing but a denim dress and not dying of cold!
I’ve been forced to where jumpers over everything nowadays- even with my very excellent range of coats.
