While I’ll never turn down a crisp, cold glass of good champagne, I’m not the biggest fan of caviar since I don’t love salt. Sometimes a bite or two of caviar with the pop of brininess when paired with carpaccio or potato is quite a welcome treat.
But we’re not here to talk about food and drink, we’re here to talk fashion. And like champagne and caviar themselves are a great combination, colors inspired by them are equally as pleasing.
I have three different outfits here each featuring black or navy (or black and navy) dresses, paired with metallic accessories. These classic pairings are timeless, elegant, and versatile, perfect for day or night, work or play since they are striking without being over the top.
The black lace dress is always a summer favorite for me and for a night out with a friend, I popped the look with sparkly shoes. The navy and black dress has been in my closet forever and is my go to in a pinch when I can’t figure out what to wear. I wore it with even older shoes that are another staple when I’m feeling indecisive.
And then there is the blue metallic dress that is just so elegant and with the iridescent shoes, it is allowed to shine without stealing the show.
While I do love more risk taking combinations, this is just as wonderful, and I hope these colors are something you will try in your wardrobe.
Lace dress: Nicholas // Navy and black dress: Elizabeth and James // Navy dress: Roland Mouret // Glitter shoes: Jimmy Choo // Gold shoes: Prada // Iridescent shoes: Christian Louboutin
Love all these looks but my favorite is black and navy dress is a knockout! Just a great look as all the others are too!
Thank you, Debbie!!
Great pictures! And I’m also not a huge fan of caviar. Will never turn down champagne, though. 🙂
I’m pretty sure it’s almost impossible to turn down champagne 🙂 Thanks, John!
