Heading to a rooftop to watch the Disney World fireworks while enjoying a cocktail or two is one of the wonderful simple pleasures of living in Orlando. There are a few spots, and over time I am sure I will show you all of them, but for this post I was at Capa atop the Four Seasons.
It’s a beautiful and expansive restaurant, where I’ve had dinner before, and it has both indoor and outdoor seating. But for firework viewing you want to be outside. The outdoor seating is pretty well covered, we totally tested that out as a giant rain cloud moved through and brought a brief shower before revealing the most breathtaking sunset I have seen in a very long time. The pictures are great, but to see it in person was truly something to remember and made me stop in my tracks.
The show only continued as the sky grows dark and the fireworks, on this night from both Magic Kingdom and Epcot (though Hollywood Studios has now started their show back up as well). Magic Kingdom has a display with more wow factor, but Epcot’s is cool too, particularly since you can see the Epcot ball all lit up.
Even the illumination of the hotel water features and landscaping makes the visit pretty special.
For the evening, I wore an outfit that kind of ended up matching the sky. One of my favorite staple orange dresses and my favorite new handbag. My outfit even matched one of my cocktails (Casa Dragones and Campari, if you’re wondering 🙂 )
My hair wasn’t cooperating as much as I wanted, so I added some pretty little hair pins and they were just the extra touch the look needed.
It was an awesome night with spectacular shows from both mother nature and the house of mouse.
