This summer I fell in love with The Skip, a fun outdoor bar in the Belt alley in Detroit. When I found out they not only turned the bar into a four seasons venture with garage doors, but they also had a super special Christmas pop up called Miracle, I was kind of beyond excited.
A super nice December weekend earlier this month was the perfect time to check it out. We decided to go when they open at four and are so glad we did because there was already a line. We were the last table to get in and were seated with some other nice folks at a large communal table.
We ordered our drinks and took in the atmosphere while we waited. The music, the lights, the gingerbread train, A Christmas Story (which I actually can’t stand, but I wasn’t there to watch movies) playing in the background. It’s everything I wanted it to be and more.
We tried a few different drinks since we figured this would be our one and only visit, and though we all liked some better than others, they were all outstanding. Of course, I expected nothing less from The Skip.
For this fun holiday outing, I brought out all the sparkles with a crystal encrusted sweater, crystal encrusted shoes, and a scarf with glittery threads woven right in.
If you can’t wear sparkles at the holidays, when can you???
If you want to check out the Miracle Pop Up, you can head to The Skip through Christmas Eve. If you don’t live in Detroit, the pop up is in fifty cities this year, so hopefully one is close to you. It’s a blast!
Do you wear sparkly clothes?
Sweater: St. John // Skirt: MSGM // Scarf: Gucci // Shoes: Christian Louboutin

Yes, bring on the sparkles for next year … or a last minute NYE addition. Thanks, Debbie xo
