Checking out new coffee shops has become one of my all time favorite things to do. It’s not just the caffeine high I search out, but the different flavors in different coffees, the ritual, the time to slow down and enjoy life and a warm beverage.
Qahwah House in Dearborn is one of the newest in metro Detroit and it is also different from all the others, serving Yemeni coffee. It’s a nice, bright shop with tables as well as bar seating where you can watch the friendly staff prepare all kinds of beverages.
This is no Starbucks (even if I love Starbucks). They cook tea and coffee in little pots on induction burners. The ginger tea, for example, is brewed using real piece of ginger that are then strained out for an intense flavor experience.
The specialties of the house are also spiced with cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, and cascara. The spices are not overpowering, but warm and comforting. I highly recommend a stop.
Shatila Bakery is another must when in Dearborn. It is known for some of the best baklava in the country. My favorite is a large square filled with walnuts, but there are so many to choose from, it’s impossible to choose just one.
A bright, yet casual outfit was perfect for the outing and navigating the weather that is chilly one minute and hot the next. By the way, if you are reading regularly, you know I am obsessed with Current/Elliott’s denim Snap jackets. They are the best. I added a new color to the collection and can’t wait to show you.
Jacket: Current/Elliott // Dress: Kate Spade // Bag: Prada // Shoes: Saint Laurent

I too love coffee shop even though I am not really a coffee drinker. I do like it occasionally but tea is my go to and usually most coffee shops have a nice selection of tea and if not, I always have a bag or two in my purse! Love the outfit and I know you just love the jean jacket. It’s such a great accessory to almost any outfit…. Looking fab again!!
