Outfits can be inspired by just about anything. From weather to mood, movies to magazines, colors to music. I let this outfit be inspired by celebrating music week here on the blog.
Music and fashion have quite a bit in common. Artistry to create. Ability to change. Being inspired and motivated by just about anything on earth.
Some of my favorite music combines different genres. Why does everything have to have a label, be put in a particular box? Pop this, rap that. It’s how I like to write too. For me, writing is about exploring an idea, telling a story, not having to stick to a certain formula.
Fashion is a lot like that for me too. For this look, I paired my favorite skirt with a casual, comfortable denim jacket. It’s the perfect in between seasons look for a nice, sunny day. The skirt always does make me feel like a ballerina and the jacket makes the look rougher and more modern. It’s a great balance.
And life is all about balance.
Kind of like this “balanced” lunch at the Capital Grille. Fries and a Fire and Ice Cocktail.
Jacket: Current/Elliott // Skirt: Milly // Shoes: Christian Louboutin // Bag: Chloe // Wrap: Gucci

This makeup look is AMAZING on you! Showcases your nice skin and eyes! I love a lighter look (you pull off the darker stuff of course, but this is so spring-like and lovely).

Aw, thanks so much, Kiara! I love trying different makeup and I think I am ready for spring so light colors sound nice.
