For my last fashion post, I was inspired by the meadow and wore different shades of green. Now I’m taking it to the river with different shades of blue, from bright to royal to navy, some with a hint of shimmer to them.
Sure I might live in the sunshine state, but the other thing that is so noticeable in Florida are all the bodies of water. The Atlantic Ocean and Gulf Coast are go-to destinations, and driving around there are streams, lakes, and rivers everywhere you turn. You can’t even forget about pools. In fact, I don’t see many people in the pools in out neighborhood, but whoa are some of them just stunning. I mean, you don’t put a pool in to stare at it, but there are worse things to gaze at.
It’s impossible not to be inspired by the motion of the ocean and the varying shades of blue that fill the bodies of water. They are unique and complex and though static fashion cannot capture the majesty of a body of water, it can bring the spirit to an outfit and therefore an occasion.
The shimmer in the long sleeve dress along with the draping, make it feel like waves in an ocean. While the deep shimmer and shade of the navy dress bring more of a water under the night sky kind of feel.
Then there’s the blue purple dress that evokes feelings of water reflecting dusk and dawn.
Not only does this show the different kinds of water are inspiring in every way, but it also shows the many, many shades of blue that can be worn, certainly one or two for everyone.
