Dancing with Dolphins #FashionFriday

There are an astounding number of hotels on Disney property, many of them spanning acres upon acres with multiple buildings housing suites, rooms, restaurants, spas, and more.  A lot are officially owned by Disney while some are official partners.

To go to an official Disney hotel without a room reservation, you must have a dining reservation, but the partners are typically open for exploration.  That is the case with the Swan and Dolphin.  They are sister hotels under the Marriott umbrella.

I went to explore on a somewhat rainy and very cloudy day that was still packed with fun.  Walking around inside to grab a coffee and look around at the mostly closed restaurants was fun.  I do wish more had been open to grab a bite to eat or a cocktail.  Being a busy place, I would think I am not alone in this and this hotel, like a lot of others should consider bringing back more services for more hours.

I am so glad the rain cleared to explore the stunning grounds, with plant life, flowers, lakes, and a good look at Disney’s Boardwalk.  The walk between the Swan and the Dolphin is also a nice one that really gives a glimpse into the magic of Disney without theme park admission.

I broke out a new dress for the outing, a very Florida strappy maxi dress that has so many beachy vibes.  It is a lot of dress, but it just goes to show you don’t have to be really tall to pull off a long dress.  I might seem tall, but that’s just an optical illusion thanks to heels.  I imagine a lot of people might pair this with flats or pretty flip flops which would be a great look as well.

Speaking of shoes, these are old old old, so old in fact, the designer Charlotte Olympia is no longer in the shoe business, which is a bummer because these and so many of her other shoes were so cute!  I am glad to have these in my closet, only pulling them out for special occasions, so they are still in pretty good condition.

I rounded out the look with pastel accessories in my new favorite bag and my go to sunnies.  I’m not sure why I chose pastel, perhaps to lighten the feel of what might have become a heavy outfit with the rich color of the dress.

Maybe the only thing better than seeing swans and dolphins in person is hanging out at the hotel.
