While in fashion magazines and maybe even on some fashion blogs, women wear clothes only once, I can’t and don’t want to do that, and I know you don’t either.
Not only is it wasteful, but I really love some of the things I buy and it would totally bum me out to only wear them once.
Recently I wore a Nicholas dress I bought that I am in total love with. It fits like a glove and I used a 20% off coupon at Saks! I wore it when we went to Chartreuse and dressed it up with rhinestone encrusted shoes and clutch, smoky eyes, red lipstick, and my hair curled and half back. It’s an evening outfit I loved.
Then, this past weekend when we walked around Gross Pointe and had a bite at Marais, I wore the dress again. I don’t think anyone would have noticed since I switched up the shoes and bag, tied a scarf around my waist, braided my hair, and went with more neutral makeup. I casualified the outfit 😉
I was surprised how well a fancy evening dress transitioned into day, but it ended up being a totally wearable and memorable outfit both times. I can’t wait to see what else I can do with it to change it up!
How do you mix up your favorite pieces?
Look 1: Dress: Nicholas // Bag and Shoes: Prada // Necklace: Van Cleef and Arpels
Look 2: Dress: Nicholas // Bag, Scarf (worn as belt), and Bag Charm: Burberry // Shoes: Manolo Blahnik

Very nice way to change the look for a terrific dress!! Looks beautiful both ways…. and I love your hair in the braid. I have a couple of sun dresses that by changing shoes, it totally changes the vibe…
