Day or Night #FashionFriday

You might have heard fashion advice before that if you truly love something you buy it in every color.  I can’t say I have ever done that, but I there are several styles of shoes that I have in multiple colors.  They are all favorites and in heavy rotation so you have probably seen all the iterations around these parts multiple times before.

I have similar dresses from the same designer but nothing exactly the same.  Until now.  I fell in love with this Katie May dress watching Let’s Make a Deal.  Yes, you read that right, I am always shopping, even when watching game shows on TV.  The model Tiffany wears the cutest dresses that almost always have me swooning.

The pink peony print dress here is the only one I have purchased.  I love it and wore it to a Kentucky Derby party this year.  It’s such an easy to wear dress with the draping and strapless silhouette, but it has a fun punch with the swag hanging from the side.  I have found the colors slightly difficult to pair so I have been taking chances with accessories in order to coordinate but not match.

I love the dress so much that when I saw the black version on sale, I had to buy it.  It’s hard to choose a favorite, but there is something about the moodiness of a black floral print that makes it perfect for a cocktail party and gives it almost flapper vibes, especially since I paired it with Mom’s old hematite beads.

Both of these dresses are begging to be worn again and again, but I definitely can’t wait to keep playing around with the black one.  It might not have been my first choice, but I’m so glad I snagged it.

There are many more colors available in this dress.  The line, made in the USA, has plenty of other cute options too.  I hope I can add more to my collection soon.
