Even when I think I know a lot about an area, there’s always something undiscovered, a stone left unturned.
I have fallen in love with Café Maiko Matcha here in Orlando. Their soft serve is incredible, especially this earthy matcha and nutty ube swirl. In fact this was the first time I had ube, but it will not be the last. It’s an awesome flavor. The hot ceremonial matcha tea was equally tasty, smooth and refreshing, almost invigorating.
I learned quickly that Café Maiko is a small chain, but what I did not know until a random Instagram discovery is that there was one in Michigan. It opened during the pandemic, so that might be why I was unaware, but I definitely could have used some of this tasty food and drink in my life back in Michigan.
It’s so exciting how new places are always opening, and living in a new place, everything is exciting!
It’s also exciting to buy something new, especially when that something is on sale! Like this Johanna Ortiz top. I don’t know about you, but I have so much trouble finding great tops. I’m so glad this classic with a twist is a part of my wardrobe. I can dress it up or down, wear it with a jacket, and pair it with just about any skirt in my closet.
This day I paired it with a polka dot skirt and polka dot shoes because I wanted something fun and festive while keeping a somewhat monotone theme, continuing with the purse I carried. I don’t often wear a lot of black, but I totally love this outfit, and I love the big smile on my face. It’s clear … ice cream and wisteria flowers make me very happy 🙂
