I don’t wear a lot of black dresses. I tend to wear all the colors … sometimes at one time. It’s how I show my personality and living in Florida, bright colors and bold patterns definitely fit the bill.
I do like to mix it up, and sometimes that means wearing black. But I’m not talking boring black, not for one second. These four black dresses could not be more different. The jersey dress is plain black. It’s the most understated which is why I popped it with bright pink accessories. This dress is ready for a meeting or day at the office, although it can transition into dinner or drinks.

Then we have the long sleeve sparkly black. It’s so shimmery, it barely looks black. This dress is ready for a party! It wants to shine … literally. There is no being shy if you are wearing this dress. I love that it’s simple and colorful but packs a major punch with the shimmer.

The floral dress is perfect for any fun activity from day to night. Whether it’s tea or brunch or dinner or dancing, the mini hem with the long swag gives tons of personality to an understated floral print that would make even someone who doesn’t love wearing florals fall in love.

Finally, the gold and black dress is a floral print of sorts, except it features applique to add more personality. This is a dress I reach for again and again because it’s so comfortable, and I love wearing gold. I do like to wear this dress for daytime outings, but it totally fits the bill for hitting the town at night.

Maybe I like black dresses a lot more than I first thought.
