Also as we shovel our way out from more snow, realizing that I fell for fall and seriously miss it. But spring will be here soon … the arrival of March actually brings with it meteorological spring, though we’ll have to wait a bit for astrological spring. But the groundhog promised it would be an early spring, so here’s to hoping.
I struggled to snap some good photos of this dress/outfit, and actually wore it three times before I had enough for a post. That was due in large part to the fact that instead of taking tons of pictures, I got dressed up, went out, and just had a good time, celebrating life with my parents and friends.
Can’t complain too much about that, right? It’s hard to find that balance between taking a few moments to snap some photos to share on the blog or simply remember the night and just have fun, letting thoughts of my phone slip from my mind. On these few nights, I didn’t quite find that balance, but that’s okay.
This dress is one of my favorites because sequins … duh, but also because it’s pretty warm, so it’s perfect for fall when it’s chilly out but I don’t want to break out a coat. It also pairs well with my Burberry cape aka my adult blanket that is perfectly acceptable to wear in public.
I also like that it works well with dark and dramatic makeup. In fact, I think the dress invites risk taking, eye catching makeup.
And just looking at these photos from a stunning fall day makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Those bright, sunny, color changing tree studded photos haven’t been brightened or enhanced with a filter at all. Mother nature was just seriously showing off that day. Hopefully she’ll get back to that soon.
