When Reese Witherspoon launched Draper James, I was one of the first to check it out and sign up for emails. Over the past few months, I have fallen in love with the style, elegance, and charm of the offerings there.
Of course, it doesn’t hurt that I’m a huge fan of Reese. I love her movies, her sense of style, and her approachable personality. Watching Legally Blonde with my Granny is one of my favorite memories. Now, every time it’s on, I have to stop and watch it. I bet I’ve seen it over a hundred times.
I’m even Tweeting Reese pretty much every day right now to see if maybe she’d produce one of my scripts. Yep, Reese has an awesome production company, and I think of my scripts should be the next feature she produces.
But let’s get back to the fashion. I had my eye on this dress since it came out, and when it went on sale I finally decided to give it a try. I was worried it wouldn’t fit, but it was like it was made just for me.
The bright, bold yellow is my favorite part about the dress. When I wore it the other day, several people commented on the great color. I definitely couldn’t blend into the crowd! The back is also unique and fun. Plus, I love the gold buttons. Such a classy touch!
I wanted the dress to be the star, so I paired it with a simple black clutch, black sandals, and my big black cat sunglasses. My red lipstick added to the classic feeling of the outfit. By the way, that is the BEST red lipstick. Such a true red.
I really wish it would be summer forever, so I could wear this dress year round. Maybe Reese will have some fun cold weather finds too …

Actually, Jenn, I have thought about it a lot. It’s really hard to stand out from the crowd and make it in Hollywood. I don’t just tweet “Hey” or “retweet me.” Instead I tweet a reason why she should produce my script. I think it’s a unique way to perhaps get noticed.
Do you have plans to move to LA to start networking?
I do want to live in LA, but right now I can’t move there. The good thing is, I can write from anywhere.
