You know I love to write and bake, but you might not know just how much I love fashion and shopping. So to introduce you more to the clothes, shoes, handbags, and makeup obsessed side of me, I want to welcome you to the first installment of Fashion Friday! While I might not do this every week, many Fridays I’ll give you a peek into my closet to show you a piece I’ve had forever and still love or a new addition I can’t stop thinking about. I hope you enjoy it!
Shoes are one of my favorite things. I’ve loved them since I was four or five years old, parading around the house in Mom’s heels. I haven’t stopped wearing heels since. Fancy high heels are the best way to perk me up if I’m having a bad day. I have a closet full of shoes and never wear the same pair two days in a row. But there’s always room for more shoes.
These Charlotte Olympia shoes are my newest addition. In fact, I haven’t even worn them yet, but I’m hoping to change that this weekend. Called Girls on Film, I wasn’t sure I liked them at first, but after my favorite sales associate at Neiman Marcus brought them out for me to try on, I put them on and instantly fell in love. They are unique, way more comfortable than they look, and I feel like they are kind of appropriate.
The straps are made to look like film reels. Since I’m hoping everyday I’m inching closer to a film and television writing career (or having my novels published and turned into movies – I’m not picky!), I felt like these film inspired shoes were a sign. They were also featured on the last page of the Neiman Marcus Book this month, and I think I saw them in Elle too! But I bought them before all the press; in fact they had only been in the store a day when I made my purchase. I’m excited to break out these shoes and have some fun. Hopefully wearing them will bring me some movie magic in addition to old Hollywood glamour!
Do you have a favorite pair of shoes? Leave a comment telling me all about them!
hahahaaa omg whaaaat? those shoes are crazy! but cool!
Darling shoes, can I borrow them sometime? 🙂
Only if you bake one of your impressive desserts for me 😉
Those are fabulous shoes! Unfortunately my feet no longer agree with any shoes except flip flops and sneakers 🙁
I wish I had more money to buy shoes! A pair of nude and red pumps are on my shopping list.
Nude and red are such great colors! I hope you get those shoes soon 🙂
These are gorgeous and I wrote my comment on Facebook before I saw your post! My shoes are one of the hardest things about being in two places. It seems I don’t always have the pair I want to wear as they are at the other house. LOL!
My goodness, So in love with these shoes, can’t take my eyes off them :).. So beautiful
