I’ve finally had to break out the sweaters. Part of me died when I did this because it means summer is ending rapidly, but I don’t mind this time of year.
I really do have a lot of nice fall clothes, and most of the time the unfortunately are covered with my coat because it’s so cold outside.
Right now, as we hover in the 50s and 60s, it’s the perfect time to allow my sweaters their time in the spotlight.
Cashmere is my go-to sweater material. It’s soft and warm, never itchy like wool can be. Red is a great color for a sweater because the fall and winter months can be dull and gray. Adding color through your wardrobe is a great way to brighten things up.
Paired simply with a classic pleated gray skirt, I spiced things up with my accessories. A fun (and practically vintage) Louis Vuitton bag and a Chanel pearl belt livened up my look.
I finished with my favorite sunglasses and Louboutins. I couldn’t give up sandals yet!
Classic sweaters are such a great investment. I’ve had this one, and most of the others in my closet for years, and they look just as good as the day I bought them. Plus, they keep me warm all fall long.

I am envious of your ability to stand in heels.

I’ve had 18 years of practice 🙂 Those shoes are always my go to … I’ve worn them to concerts, sporting events, everything. I feel like I could climb Mt. Everest in them 😉
