I know it’s summer, but we’ve had a lot of rainy and even chilly weather. It’s such a bummer. Now summer’s not even that great in Michigan. California here I come … one day.
So when there’s a bit of a chill in the air, I always break out my trusty white blazer. A lot of people focus on a black blazer, but I love this white one with its versatility and modern feel from the waist belt.
I actually picked it up on sale at Neiman Marcus seven or eight years ago! And I still wear it all the time. Sale finds like this are some of my favorites, and I find a lot of pieces that way. Many of them are still in my closet as well.
What’s great about having a variety of old and new things in my closet, is that I can mix and match. This blazer pairs so perfectly with the bright blue dress and pop of red lipstick.
I kept things neutral with my favorite Dior bag, but added a complementary purple pump. I like the combination of blue and purple and felt they were fun without being over the top.
I guess I shouldn’t complain too much about less than seasonable temperatures … it does mean I got to break out this fabulous blazer!

What a cute blazer, and a fun sale find! Yes, the advantage of a chilly summer is wearing slightly off-season clothes. We’re having a combination of cool and rainy, alternating with very hot. Interesting contrasts!
