I’m in love with this dress.
I spotted one left, in my size, online at Saks on Christmas Day and literally jumped up and down, given it was 80% off. It’s the ready to wear version of the couture dress Sarah Jessica Parker wore to the And Just Like That premiere, so to channel such a fashion icon whenever I wear this dress is a pretty special thing.
Mom didn’t love it when it arrived. I feel like I’ve said that more than once around these parts, but maybe she’s learned to love it for the different sequins that catch and reflect the light in their own way. Maybe the simple elegance of the color has grown on her. She always liked the cape that came with the strapless dress. We both kind of have things for caped dresses.
Although I will no doubt wear the dress without the cape at some point, and I can possibly imagine wearing the cape with another dress. The more I think about that idea, right now, writing this post, the more I am wildly excited by it.
I wore this dress to the stunning Four Seasons Orlando Resort for my birthday dinner, and Mother Nature was hands down far more stunning than any dress could ever be. Florida sunsets will never cease to take my breath away. Though I doubt this dress will either. It’s such a special piece that I am so glad is in my closet.
Dress: Oscar de la Renta // Bag: Ferragamo // Shoes: Prada
Beautiful dress and cape! Love the color and I feel sure it is even prettier in person. You look lovely and that sunset is a marvel.
Thank you, Debbie!
