Now that we are on to the new year, it’s time to take a look back at the year that was. It was a bit of a tough year in some ways, but when I take the time to remember all that happened, I see that in so many other ways it was incredible. I made friends, experienced amazing restaurants, concerts, and events, and traveled for the first time in practically forever. I am still looking forward to 2019 with hope for dreams to come true.
These are my favorite posts from the past year, covering food, fashion, and concerts. Enjoy!
Peanut Butter and Caramel Stuffed Oatmeal Cookies might look unassuming but the buttery flavor and crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside texture make them a serious winner.
Derby Darling was a night to remember even though I was just at a Derby party instead of the Derby itself. Next year???
Purple Ombre Tiered Layer Cake was inspired by all the gorgeous desserts I see on Instagram and it did not disappoint.
Made Me Blush was a fun night out with a private performance from part of the DSO.
Whatever it Takes to See Imagine Dragons was a crazy night that ended up being one of the best of my life.
Garden Glory showcases picking out flowers – one of my favorite days of every year.
Two for One: OneRepublic and Panic! at the Disco is all about that one insane night when we went to two concerts at two different venues in the same night and it was everything.
Take Me Out to the Ballgame is from one of the best views in the city of Detroit.
Toronto Part 1: Ready for It? speaks for itself. I was indeed ready for it.
Paleo Carob (or Chocolate) Zucchini Bread is the best excuse to eat cake for breakfast.
Peanut Butter Swirl Brownies might have looked less then stellar but they turned out to be my favorite brownies of all time.
Cookies used to be my least favorite treat to make but this year and these Cowboy Cookies helped prove me wrong.
Perfect Paleo Carob Chip Cookies are another cookie that made me fall in love. I hesitate to tell people these are paleo because they are just that good.
