Another year has come and gone, which means it’s time to take a look back. It’s been quite a year! I conquered my fears of flying and traveling, I found out one of my books is going to be published, I made some pretty tasty recipes, and had a lot of fun. I’m pretty sad to say goodbye to this year because it was good in so many ways. Also because time just keeps going and that often is something that’s hard to accept. Still I head into the new year with optimism, hope, and excitement at what might be waiting for me. Here are my favorite posts from the past year. Enjoy!

Peanut Butter and Jelly Pie Bars
I celebrated my blogiversary with these bars that had been on my baking bucket list for quite some time. They did not disappoint with those classic PBJ vibes combined with flaky pie crust.
Whether you make these Paleo or stick to traditional ingredients, these will hands down be some of the best brownies you’ll ever eat.
I think about these bars all the time. That shortbread crust, which I’ve since used in other applications. That cashew butter caramel. That hint of sea salt. Homemade Paleo Twix Bars, I <3 you!
The Ultimate Paleo Coconut Cake
As I experiment more with paleo and grain free baking, I like to challenge myself to create desserts that are just as good if not better than traditional baking. This cake lived up to the challenge with tender coconut cake, silky coconut pasty cream, and decadent coconut icing.
Forget about homemade, this is the BEST baklava period, end of story. If you love baklava, do yourself a favor and make this ASAP.
Fruit pie always steals my heart. That was definitely the case with this end of summer peach and raspberry pie.

Back to Justin Timberlake’s Woods
I saw the Man of the Woods tour in 2018, but when I had the chance to be in the VIP pit and up close and personal with one of my favorite performers, I could not pass up the opportunity. I imagine this will be one of my favorite shows and all around nights for many years to come.
After a long, cold winter and large portion of spring, April brought with it some seriously nice weather that made me swoon. I love this whole outfit and I love the night I wore it.
A Girl for Four Seasons – Conquering Fear in Style
This is the first post of 2019 that legitimately CHANGED MY LIFE! After 22 years, I hopped on a plane and went to Orlando. I did it again a few months later. Who knows what craziness awaits in 2020???
Celebrate Good Times – I’m Being Published
This is the second post of 2019 that legitimately CHANGED MY LIFE! After about a decade of writing, I found out that one of my books is going to be published. I still can’t believe it. Nor can I wait for you all to read it in 2020!
Not Nervous to See Shawn Mendes
I just loved this concert. Seeing both Shawn and Alessia Cara live totally blew my mind. They are both incredible performers and don’t have to rely on a lot of bells and whistles to display said talent.
When the beginning of October brought record heat, I went to see the acres of sunflowers at Ford Motor Company’s World Headquarters. This too is something I probably wouldn’t have done in years past. Grass! Dirt! Bugs! But I am so glad I did it now. The sights were truly a gift from nature.
How was 2019 for you? What was your favorite moment? Happy New Year!
