Sweater weather and the fall season don’t have to mean wearing only dark colors. That can make what can be a gloomy season even gloomier.
You might think now that I am in Florida, all my sweaters are going to collect dust. That is so not the case. We have already had some pretty chilly weather, especially in the evening, and more is on the way. I don’t mind a little chill and an excuse to wear some of the amazing pieces I collected over the Michigan winters of my life.
I love to jazz up fall and winter with bright colors that are still practical. These sweaters are so much fun and so versatile. Dress them up, dress them down, wear them to dinner or for a quick walk. The pink zip up is such a classic, made even more elegant with a maxi skirt with feathers. I love how the pink in my rainbow pumps matches the sweater so well.
Do you believe these pictures were taken about this time last year back in Michigan? Unfortunately for my friends there, I don’t think this November has been quite as kind.
The watermelon sweater is so. much. fun. I can’t get enough of fruit patterns in clothes and this piece is one of my favorites. The sequin skirt really makes it pop, but jeans or a white skirt would work too.
These pictures are from January when I was exploring Lake Nona and at my rental home. I don’t miss the house, but that yard is really something. Definitely better than the one in my new house … oh well, I spend more time inside than outside.
Would you wear bright colors for fall?

Yes love bright colors for fall but also love the dark colors especially black. That is why I love your outfit as it has both!! Cool!
