While I love to wear dresses for comfort and ease, there is something about the combination of a great top and a fun skirt that makes me so happy. I have a tons of skirts in my closet, but not always enough tops to go with them. I’m always on the hunt for new tops, though I have a couple stand by favorites that never fail me.
The ruffled top and fireworks skirt are both favorites of mine and I love how well they pair together. It’s a super fun combination that could be over the top but isn’t due to the classic navy color of both. I added some sparkly sandals to complete the look for the fun night out.
I received the butterfly skirt for Christmas, and I would still like to pair it with something different, but I could not wait to wear it. The black top pulls on the black in the skirt and allows the skirt to shine, especially with the black shoes. I went with a statement color bag to coordinate with the skirt and added my monarch butterfly hair clip because there can never be enough butterflies!
The butterfly skirt is rather unique in my closet as it has internal wiring that keeps it flared and flirty at all times. That’s a really cool touch to the skirt that shows attention to detail in the design of clothes makes a huge difference.
