We’re keeping the holiday vibes going with some looks that are perfect for New Year’s Eve. I wore both of these dresses for other occasions recently, and neither are what I will be wearing on NYE, but they both fit the bill spectacularly.
Both of these shimmery, shiny dresses certainly have the sparkle to take you into the new year with style. The feather print dress is packed with sequins. I love sequins so much, but they can be rather grabby when it comes to my hair. Which is why I love the black dress even if it doesn’t pack quite the pizzazz. The shimmer of the black dress is shiny thread woven into the fabric, making it light and easy to wear.
Both of the dresses have sheer sleeves that offer a bit of protection for a chilly evening but work in warm weather too since they aren’t heavy dresses, nor are they made of heavy fabric. With flattering necklines and waists, they each bring their own little something extra to the party. It’s the feather pattern for sure on the sequin dress. While the black dress shines with the tie in the back and the layers of the skirt which move with every step.
I paired them with the same silver bag that’s big enough to hold a few evening essentials while not too big to carry to a party. They each have crystal encrusted shoes to bring the whole night out look together.
Both of these dresses have glamourous old Hollywood, Great Gatsby, flapper girl vibes to me. It’s not always my aesthetic, but for New Year’s Eve or a night out, it really is a fun theme. I leaned in extra with the feather dress by adding a couple of Mom’s necklaces, both her hematite and lapis beads.
