I love this dress and have worn it tons of times. That’s part of the fun of fashion: having items in your closet that you know you can grab and wear when you’re in a hurry and cannot decide what to wear.
But this also happens to be a super memorable dress that I’ve posted about enough and with most of the people in my circles. In order to keep wearing it frequently, I needed to come up with ways to make it look different.
This is one of those ways.
The dress came with a belt, and I had never removed it. Until now. This gold belt changes the look of the dress. So to the neutral accessories instead of the bright ones I usually wear because bright colors typically attract more bright colors in my world.
This may be my new favorite way to wear this dress. It’s a little edgier, more grown up, sophisticated.
These photos were taken at the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club and in Downtown Grosse Pointe, two undeniably gorgeous locales.
How do you change up the go-to pieces in your closet?

Love, love the vibrant colors in this dress. It looks great with the belt and shoes! I’m not very good at changing the looks of my clothes but hopefully I can learn from you.
