Even before I moved to Orlando, the land of nightly fireworks at the theme parks and year round flowers blooming and blossoming, I would have told you flowers and fireworks were two of my favorite things. They were everything I liked about summer in Michigan.
I remember our deck of flower pots vividly. It’s probably one of the things I miss most about Michigan (along with Prime + Proper and the great concert and sports venues). All the different flowers and colors and bees buzzing around, hummingbirds visiting for nectar. It was glorious, but the season was so short lived. Here in Florida, I don’t ever have to say good bye to the flowers and that’s pretty awesome.
The annual Detroit River fireworks were mandatory viewing in my house, and I miss those even if I doubt I ever would have braved the crowds to see them in person. I did love the Tigers Friday night fireworks and got to see those in person a handful of times.
Here I see fireworks all the time. As is the goal with Disney World, they are pretty magical, lighting up the darkness and booming through the area. Every night those parks put on a spectacular show. Though I suppose it is in some ways old hat for them, it really must be quite a feat.
Because I love these things so much, I also love incorporating them into my wardrobe. I bet you have some floral print in your closet. I have lots but this two piece outfit is one of my newer additions and I cannot get enough of it. It’s fun, flirty, and classy with a striking poppy print. I paired it with fun green shoes to add even more bright floral inspiration.
You might not have anything with a fireworks print. I wish I had more but this old skirt is still a favorite. It pairs so well with so many tops and is fun for so many occasions. Versatile, eye catching items are some of my favorite things to add to my closet, so I can wear them over and over.
