Both of my parents worked for Ford for many years, so it kind of runs in my blood. The Dearborn area is basically Ford city with many office building, including their world headquarters, located there. There are also public attractions like The Henry Ford, a museum dedicated to American innovation, something Henry Ford himself is well known for.
It’s a great place to spend a day with rotating exhibits, currently one on fashion and one on cars with their hoods open to look at the engine, as well as staples on furniture and more cars. This is the Detroit area we’re talking about here.
It also happened to be a beautiful January day on my visit. It was sixty and the sun poked out for most of the day. Score.
So I broke out one of my birthday presents, a find from Net-a-Porter’s sale, a black Victoria Beckham dress. I am not usually a black dress kind of girl, but with the flared skirt and extraordinary fit, it was hard to turn this one down.
I paired it with sparkly shoes with the most amazing structure and silhouette. Plus, a pop of color from my bag and my favorite cape aka adult blanket because sixty in January is still chilly.
It’s a classic look I can’t wait to wear again and again. This classic setting was perfect for its debut.
Dress: Victoria Beckham // Shoes: Christian Louboutin // Bag: Burberry Prorsum // Wrap: Gucci
