I very rarely wear black, but the other day when I got my hair done, I knew I wanted to wear an easy breezy, insanely classic dress in my closet I haven’t worn in quite some time. And when I know in my heart I want to wear something, I tend to go with that instinct.
And I’m glad I did. I was so comfortable and confident in the dress, I am wondering why it’s been years since I’ve worn it.
Because I don’t wear black a lot, I wanted to pair it with other colors. I went with silver and pink in my bag, shoes, and lipstick. I cannot tell you how much I love this bright but not neon lipstick. I’ll link it up below if you want to give it a try. It’s Dior in Miss D if you are out and about shopping and want to check it out.
I’m also showing you a classic black dress I paired with a pink bag and sunglasses for a bright pop of color on a different occasion. This day, I actually couldn’t decide what to wear so I leaned on classic black and favorite bright accessories so I could get out the door.
It ended up totally working.
It’s funny how these similar looks have the same pop of color but totally different inspiration behind them.

Lovely! I love classic black and I am a black wearer! I wore it today. Black top, black pants, black boots. Pink purse!! Looks great on you and glad you pulled it out of your closet. Love both ways!
Yay for the pink purse – I bet it made the whole look!!!
