I love anything sparkly or metallic. These vibes might seem better suited to the holiday season with all the glitz and glamour, but there’s something about gold that also reminds me of the bright sunlight that fills the long summer days. Not to mention the way that bright sun makes gold pieces almost glow. I mean there is a reason they talk about golden hour.
Recently I wore two gold outfits that could not be more different. The first is the dress I wore to Eras tour. It’s actually the first time I’ve worn it since the show. It wasn’t exactly a special occasion. I just wanted to wear the dress … so I did. I paired it with a smokey eye and red lip, just like at the show, but this time I added a gold bag and velvet platform heels. It changed the look and while it definitely is ready for festive season, it was so fun to wear in the heat of summer.

The second gold outfit featured the dress I wore recently to the Helios Grand Hotel. It’s an easy to wear dress that I also have in silver. I went all out gold with this outfit. Gold sandals. Gold bag. Giant gold earrings. One of my friends said I looked like a “golden goddess.” It was the sweetest complement, and it made me feel like I was glowing just like my outfit.

These outfits go to show there are a ton of ways to wear gold. It’s easy to dip your toe in the metallic water or dive right in. They also show that gold is great any time of year.
The next time you need a little pep in your step, consider wearing something that glows on the outside. Maybe it will make you feel like you’re glowing on the inside too.
