The holiday season in Orlando is pretty special. Disney and all the surrounding resorts decorate so well and really bring a magic to the city. It doesn’t hurt that it’s warm enough outside to actually enjoy it either.
The Ritz Carlton is one of my favorite spots year round, and at Christmas it is true joy to walk into the resort. The gold garlands and trees, the giant gingerbread house, and of course Teddy Bear Tea.
While on the surface this may seem like an event geared toward children, it really is something for all ages. In fact while booking and then attending the tea, I could not stop thinking about how much my Granny absolutely would have loved it. I hope she was watching over us and enjoying the moment as we were.
Mom and I met up with my friend Lauren for spectacular tea, tiny and flavorful lettuce wrap sandwiches since we all requested to be gluten free, and delightful little sweets like blueberry panna cotta and to-die-for coconut macaroons.
We did still request some of the take home gift of stuffed bears. I will unabashedly admit I am a stuffed animal lover and kid at heart still, and my friend is giving hers to a niece. They are super soft, nice bears from Build a Bear.
Santa made an appearance, visiting every table and taking a photo with every group. Christmas music rang through the lobby and we were all so filled with the spirit of the season, a feeling that has thankfully lingered since.
I cannot recommend this delightful event enough. I wish I could go again this year, but I am already excited to return next year.
For the occasion, I wore a tea length dress, of course! With rose gold glittery and shimmery accessories for a fun, festive look that isn’t quite the norm as my pairing focused on green, gold, and dark pink instead of red. It’s a twist I love and hope will inspire you to mix it up this holiday season.

Such a cool event! I took Gran to tea in Cincinnati several times and she did love it! She would have loved your tea event too and I am sure she was looking down and smiling at you!
