This still feels very much like a holiday post because I wore both these looks during the season and one of them features holiday decorations rather prominently. But green is a great color to wear year round, day to night. It comes in so many shades that invoke a variety of feelings and are fit for a variety of occasions.
Both of these dresses are deep shades of green that befit not just the holiday season but fall and winter in general. The tones are flattering as black and navy would be, but offer an outfit a little something extra. Deep purple has a similar vibe that is a lot of fun to play around with.
Both of these were rather chilly times for Florida, but given that one was in the sunlight, I was able to forgo a coat or jacket. The nighttime look did require a capelet to stay warm and add to the sophisticated feel of the look. To be honest, since I don’t have a ton of opportunity to wear these things in the sunshine state, I love opportunities now and then to break out old favorites.
While I do love a strapless dress more than any other silhouette, there is most definitely something to be said for dresses with sleeves. They are versatile when spending time in sometimes chilly malls, restaurants, and hotels, and offer a little bit of protection for the chill that sets in when the sun goes down.
Do you have any green in your closet?

Great looks in shades of green. I don’t have any dresses and only a top or two with green but after seeing this, it is a sophisticated look and worth looking for that color. Thanks for the fashion advice.
