I am always on the hunt for a new dress, especially if it is on sale. When I saw this Rodarte dress on Amazon (that’s right Amazon from their luxury stores) I was super intrigued by it. Honestly I didn’t know if I would love it or hate it, but I had to try it.
It turns out I absolutely positively love it!
Even if I didn’t live in Florida, I would love it, but it definitely fits with the summer-y tropical vibes of the place I get to call home with the floral print, flowing cape, and a hint of sparkle. Because sparkles make everything better 🙂
It’s almost impossible not to pair this dress with fun accessories in shades of pink and red and with even more sparkles. It’s a party dress begging to be worn to fun, tropical places like Disney’s Polynesian Resort, where I wore it the first time. If this dress doesn’t say luau I don’t know what does.
And then I wore it to a pop up from Café La Trova, a bar located in Miami that was recently named the sixth best in North America. It’s a Cuban inspired bar, and I think my fun floral vibes went so well with the theme of the evening and such a cool experience. If you want to read more about it, be sure to head over to Tasty Chomps for a full recap of the event!
I can’t wait to wear this dress again because it kind of turns everything into a fun, tropical party. I kind of think I bought the last one in the world, so check out some other tropical inspired dresses below.

That’s a terrific dress for Florida! Or anywhere hot, with palm trees. 🙂

Locations with palm trees do have their own fashion vibe, don’t they?
