It seems like the holiday rush happens earlier and earlier every year. But when the decorations are this pretty, it’s kind of hard to argue with twinkling lights to brighten up the cloudy skies.
Somerset Collection seriously knows what it’s doing with their holiday décor. Santa’s castle is the same as in years past, but the South side of the mall has these giant dangling ornaments hanging from the ceiling, reflecting different colors lights. It’s actually breathtaking and a modern take on the holidays that is quite spectacular. Mad props to them for this sophisticated idea.
I wasn’t feeling super confident in my outfit and some things were weighing heavily on my mind, but when I saw the decorations and how the outfit popped and melded with them at the same time, it gave me a little confidence and pep in my step. Sometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest difference.
This skirt has been in heavy rotation in my wardrobe since I got it for Christmas a couple years ago, but the blouse is new. It’s from Blair Eadie from Atlantic Pacific’s Nordstrom collection. I love the puffy sleeves and vibrant color. I put my own spin on it by tying it into a crop top and leaving the neck bow in a loose knot.
While I LOVE Blair (she’s one of my faves to follow on IG) her style can be pretty far from mine. What I LOVE about fashion is that it’s super easy to put you into it. That’s what I did here and it’s a look and a blouse I’m excited to wear again.
Blouse: Atlantic Pacific X Halogen // Skirt: Rag and Bone // Shoes: Christian Louboutin // Bag: Fendi
Yup, I’d definitely say your attire complemented the decorations — and both look great! But I gotta get Thanksgiving out of the way before I think about Christmas. But soon it’ll be Ho Ho Ho time in our household! Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving.
