I can’t believe it’s been more than a year since I lived in Florida. This year has gone so super incredibly, beyond belief fast. In some ways I think I’m still in shock I actually live in Florida. In some ways it truly does feel like home. Like I belong here.
Though last year was technically my first Florida Christmas, between living in the renal and moving, it didn’t feel much like Christmas at all.
This Christmas, OMG, I am in such the holiday spirit, enjoying the decorations at home and out and about, soaking up every magical moment Orlando has to offer. These past few weeks have really been a time for me to see why I decided to call Orlando home. Christmas is in the air and it’s kind of hard not to have a spring in your step.
Even better, I get to wear all my festive outfits … and I don’t have to layer them with a coat or scarf. It’s so fun to choose what to wear to put me even more in the spirit.
These two holiday outfits were for outings at two different stunning and well decorated resorts. First was a night of cocktails and fireworks with friends at the Four Seasons. I went with my trusty red crystal sweater and feather skirt for a modern classic holiday outfit I loved.
Then I went to Gaylord Palms for the first time. So many people have told me to check it out and they were most definitely not wrong. It’s unlike any other place I’ve been with a huge jungle like atrium with plant life, koi fish, alligators (yeah, you read that right, they have alligators inside), and a giant Christmas tree.
There is a lot more Christmas there too with festive shows, sledding, themed treats, a shop, and guys, they have a Build a Bear. You probably don’t know this about me, but I have never built a bear. Well, that all changed at Gaylord Palms. The little store within a store was totally empty and I could not resist the temptation. I’m glad I didn’t because it was fun. And sometimes we all just need to have straight up fun.
This outfit is beyond simple but oh so festive with a plaid blouse and ruffled red skirt. It put me in such a fun mood, perfect for such a fun place.
Orlando is definitely a pretty good place to call home.
